Description

Design Concept:

One teapot, four tea cups. The body of the teapot is adorned with patterns of peony flowers and goldfish. Peonies, hailed as the national flower, and goldfish, with their homophonous meaning of "golden jade," both carry blessings and praise from the flourishing periods of traditional culture. The fusion of the blossoming peonies and the gracefully extended tails of the goldfish showcases the imaginative aspect of the design. The blooming flowers become golden fish, celebrating abundance, while the goldfish transform into flowers, embodying glory and splendor. The intertwining of goldfish and flowers creates a symphony that resonates with the vibrant essence of life. Drinking tea is a form of reflection, a moment to reconnect with oneself and reminisce about the past, restoring one's true nature. Only through the bittersweet flavor of tea leaves can one truly understand the essence of life.

A Leisurely Drop of Red Tea Set

It is your deepest convictions
That you must guard.
A bottomless wellspring,
Is perpetual,
Is without a beginning nor an end.

悠悠一點紅 (一壺四杯)

悠悠
悠遊;
在花之間
在天之涯。
淡定自在
一點紅。

Founded in 1987 by renowned glass artists Loretta H. Yang and Chang Yi, LIULI has grown from a modest workshop in Taiwan to become Asia's leading brand of crystal art. Liuli is a Chinese term from the Han Dynasty for glass art, and was chosen to honor the richness of Chinese heritage and culture. Records show that artisans of the Han Dynasty were highly skilled in lost-wax casting (pâte de verre) but the craft was subsequently lost and forgotten. Yang and Chang revived the craft and reintroduced it to the international arena.

The pioneering LIULI spirit has guided contemporary glass art to new heights. Each piece undergoes a comprehensive twelve-step process and requires six to eight months to complete. LIULI produces a limited number of pieces, so as to foster an environment where our artists are constantly engaged in the creation process and stay relevant to the society we care about.
